Sorry, but the battery in our camera died.  Which is a shame, because we could have taken pics of Wild Bill Hickok’s and Calamity Jane’s graves, in Deadwood, SD, as well as the graves of Rev. Henry Weston Smith who preached the sermon at Hickok’s funeral and was then murdered, and the really cool grave of Dora Dufran proprietor of Deadwood’s largest brothel who was buried with her parrot, Fred.  With any luck, Fred was also dead at the time of Dora’s internment.
 
After spending the night perched on the side of a mountain at the Deadwood KOA, we made the short drive to Spearfish Canyon, a 20-mile long gorge carved by the Spearfish River.
